-Do you accept my insurance?
While we do accept Personal Injury Protection (injured in an automobile or motorcycle accident or as a pedestrian) and Worker’s Compensation (injured on the job) claims, currently we do not accept any health insurance. However, we are happy to print a Superbill for you to submit to your health insurance to see if they will reimburse you, although this is not guaranteed.
We are, however, a non-participating provider with Medicare. This means that although we still require payment for services rendered upfront, we will submit your Medicare claim electronically, and for adjustments, Medicare should reimburse you. We also have the ability to send claims to Humana Medicare. However, they do not always reimburse you. (Please note: This does not include WellCare, Medicaid, or anything other than Medicare itself).
Please notify our office upon arrival if you have Medicare, or if you would like a Superbill.
Your new patient appointment will take about an hour and costs $75. This includes a consultation with the doctor, health history review, review of X-Rays/other imaging, a complete and thorough full body exam, and your first adjustment provided there are no contraindications to adjustment.
Please call our office to set up your appointment and provide us with the following: first and last name, date of birth, phone number, and email address. Check your email for our New Patient Paperwork and follow the steps to completing all of the paperwork listed. We also require full spine x-rays (see next question for more information).
Yes, we require full spine x-rays from within the last year. If you have these from another chiropractor or doctor, you may bring them in with you. If you do not have recent images, we can write you a script for x-rays at your favorite imaging place. If you do not have one, you may want to check out Mid Florida Imaging, which is located in the unit immediately next door to us. Mid Florida Imaging does offer a special discount for our patients, making the cost of your images $75. They do accept walk-ins but they recommend you set up an appointment to avoid long wait times. The phone number to set up appointments with Mid Florida Imaging is 407-786-5877.Please advise us of the name and fax number of the office where you would like to have your x-rays taken if at a different location than Mid Florida Imaging so we may send a script over.-What is the process like for a child?
For children 13 and under, the new patient visit will cost $55 and take roughly an hour, as well. We do not normally require x-rays for children 13 and under, but do reserve the right to request them should the doctor feel they are necessary upon examination. Parents are also encouraged to set up a separate time to chat with the doctor regarding their child’s health history prior to the child’s appointment so that the child is not hearing sensitive information about themselves and as to avoid interruption as kids are apt to do as they explore a new environment.-What do you charge for a regular visit for an established patient?
Adjustments are reasonably priced as follows:
Adults and Children over 13: $45
Medicare Patients: $30.65
(Please note: Any additional treatments, therapies or supplements will be an additional cost to the above pricing)
-I am not sure I am a candidate for chiropractic; can you help me?
If we can’t help you, we’ll help you find someone who can! Call to set up a time to have a free 10 minute phone consultation or in person consultation with the doctor to learn more about what chiropractic is and whether it is a good option for you. The consultation will be of no cost to you, and you may even learn a little something!
Absolutely! Dr. Mitchell is very thorough and will walk you through every step of the process to ensure that you are comfortable and understand what is happening.
-Are you currently accepting new patients?
Yes! We always love new faces around the office! However, due to the thorough nature and length of the new patient appointment, we recommend calling as far in advance as possible to schedule your appointment so that you will have time to obtain x-rays.
-When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow time for unforeseen Orlando traffic (yikes!), and completing any additional paperwork we may have for you here in the office. Please call to advise us if you are unable to make your appointment or are running late. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you do not call to cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to your appointment, you may be charged.
If we have not answered your questions here, please give us a call! We look forward to meeting you!
